Backwashable Titan Membranes

PolyCera Titan

Our backwashable titan membranes are made to be used under difficult conditions. They can endure high temperature up to 90°C and acidic or alkaline environments. We offer the PolyCera Titan membrane as an ultrafiltration membrane (0.1 ~ 0.01 micron) and as a nanofiltration membrane (0.01~0.001 micron).

Frequently Asked Questions

PolyCera membranes feature a polymer-based coating with ceramic-like properties. Compared with conventional ceramic membranes, they are significantly more resistant and can withstand higher contaminant loads in wastewater, including challenging substances such as oil.

PolyCera Titan and PolyCera Hydro differ primarily in their intended applications. PolyCera Titan is designed for more challenging operating conditions, while PolyCera Hydro is suitable for less demanding applications. Both are available as ultrafiltration (UF) membranes, and PolyCera Titan is also available as a nanofiltration (NF) membrane. All PolyCera membranes can be backwashed.

Yes, PolyCera membranes can be used as reverse osmosis pretreatment membranes (RO pretreatment membranes). RO membranes are highly sensitive and can foul or clog quickly when exposed directly to contaminated feedwater. PolyCera membranes remove contaminants before the water reaches the RO membrane, helping to protect it, improve system reliability, and extend its service life.
